Abstract

A head support with 5 deg. free movement is mounted on a slewing plate on a support tilting on a horizontal axis coinciding with the optical axis of X-ray tube and camera. The support has a first shaft with means at the free end for securing the head to be examined and coupled to a first motor adjusting its angle. The first shaft and motor are mounted on a stirrup on a second shaft at right angles to the first one and rotated by a second motor. The second shaft and motor are on a second stirrup on a third shaft perpendicular to the first two and also motor-driven. This shaft and motor are on a motor-driven slide on a platform supported by a second motor-driven slide working at right angles to the first, and travelling on the slewing plate.
