Abstract

There are two parts of the stopper. The first fits in the neck of the bottle or jar. It is flanged at the top and the flange sits on the rim of the bottle neck. This part is also ribbed for stiffness. The second part covers the neck of the jar or bottle completely fits over the edge of the neck and is prevented from coming off by being rolled under the neck of the bottle. The part rolled under the neck has a tab (5a) which may be torn off to break the seal. Two other tabs are formed by perforations on the top of the vseal. The inner one (13) allows an identification mark to be revealed. The outer one (13a) allows the seal to be broken.
