Abstract

The cable fitting (1) is provided with a screwed hole, the bottom of which is in the form of an inverted cone. The cable is threaded through a conical hole in the nut (2) and through the jaws (3) of a collet which fits in the conical hole. A conical spring (4) fits on top of the collet (3) and around the cable the ends of which are then splayed outwards. The nut (2) is then screwed into the fitting (1) so that the jaws (3) of the collet are locked against the surface of the cable. The nut (2) is then locked to the fitting (1) with the U-shaped locking pin (5).
