Abstract

Packing equipment for wrapping in shrunk foil goods in the form of single pieces stacked on pallets, includes equipment by which goods supplied by a conveyor are stacked on pallets and enclosed in shrunken foil wrapping. Adjoining this equipment is a unit for producing the pallets with a smooth enclosed loading surface from a sponged plastic and an intermediate storage magazine for the produced pallets. The pallets which consist of a loading surface and a base surface separated by spacers is either produced in one piece or in two parts joined together by interlocking projections and recesses. The wrapped pallets and piece goods are transported from the equipment by a roller conveyor to an oven for shrinking the foil.
