Abstract

Spacers (2, 3) made from rigid plastic sheet or cardboard are used to keep the articles (1) separate at the top and at the bottom. Each spacer has a number of cutouts, or holes, in it for this purpose and, on at least one pair of opposite sides, these forms tongues (4). A wide strip of shrink wrap plastic film (5) is heated and tightened over the articles (1), the film gripping over the tongues (4b) of the spacers to hold them securely in place. To complete the package, a plastic strap (6) fits under the bottom spacer and up the sides to form a loop for carrying.
