Abstract

A support coated with a photo-sensitive transfer layer contg. an o-naphthoquinonodiazide, an alkali-soluble phenolic resin, an ester or amide of o-naphthoquinonodiazide, an alkali-soluble phenolic resin, an ester or amide of o-naphthoquinone diazosulphonic acid, an acrylic resin and opt. a detachable protective sheet, of parent patent, is improved in that the support is a polyester sheet which is pre-treated on the surface to be coated with an aqs. soln. contg. a halogenated fatty acid (I) a crosslinking agent and a water soluble polymer which is compatible with the (I), and then dried. The pretreatment allows the photosensitive layer to be easily detached from the support after the layer has been applied onto a substrate.
