Vitreous C bodies contg. parts having a surface or revolution, are prepd. by moulding thermosetting plastics by casting followed by polycondensn. and heat-treatment at 1000-3000 degrees C. Article is formed step by step. Individual parts of article are moulded first. Mould contg. the moulded parts ic connected to a centrifugal casting mould. A part of article, having surface of revolution, is centrifugally cast. During centrifugal casting, all parts of the article are bonded to one another to form a uniform article. The vitreous C can be used as constructional matl. for e.g. technological equipment for prodn. of highly pure metals and matls; in vapour-plating; in vacuo; in high temp. process and as laboratory ware.
