Abstract

One part of the edge section lying between the slits and sheet edge is deformed through drawing to form a bulge integral with the edge section and projects out of the plane of that section in a direction away from the printing surface of the plate. The edges of the bulge, which border the slits, are directed in a common direction so that they rest against the clamp unit. The drawn bulge comprises at least a metal layer and can have a triangular shape at right angles to the plane of the sheet. More specifically the edges of the bulge are semi-circular.
