Abstract

The incinerator is manufactured from steel and refractory materials. There are three combustion chambers. The first one dries the refuse to be burnt. The second one allows complete combustion of the flue gases. A secondary air supply is provided to this combustion chamber to ensure this combustion. The hearth is fitted with a water spray arrangement to ensure that the internal temperature can be kept down to about 700 to 900 deg.C. This temperature control is actuated automatically from a thermostat. The final combustion chamber allows the gases to expand before being discharged through a stack with the aid of a motor driven fan.
