Abstract

The web is manufactured using two separate rolls of textile material and plastic film. The film comprises polyester, polypropylene, polystyrol plastic while the textile web is cotton wool, natural silk, artificial fibre, or porous fibrous fleece. Rolls of these materials are unwound and the two strands are combined over a smaller roller and fed between two further rollers which are supplied with ink via an inking roller. At this point the textile web is saturated with ink which is subsequently dried in the normal way. The binding material for the ink mass is wholly or predominantly plastic. Once the textile web has been saturated with ink it adheres firmly to the film without additional glue or similar means.
