Abstract
The support consists of two mounting plates (1, 2) in this case circular, joined by a series of interspaced thin steel and rubber annular rings (4) held to each other and to the support plates by adhesive. The inner peripheries of these rings, together with the inner surfaces of the mounting plates, form a sealed compartment (5). This is filled with an incompressible fluid such as silicon grease. The support is incompressible in an axial sense, but is deformable transversely. The projecting peripheries of the plates (1, 2) have four regularly spaced holes (3) which receive mounting bolts or similar elements.
