Abstract

The socket, if used with a single-pahse circuit, plugs into a conventional power socket by means of two connector pins (6). These can be connected through to two female sockets (7) so that the socket works in the normal manner. Another pair of female sockets (8) is provided but in series with a pair of terminals (5). Across these terminals, via the desired length of cable, a switch (1) may be connected. In this way any equipment plugged into these special sockets may be switched remotely from both the socket and the equipment. The socket body (4) is produced from moulded plastics.
