Abstract

The crusher mill with filling hopper is intended for composing plant, and has an opening in a sidewall of the hopper, closed from inside by a flap which can swing into the hopper, while a removable observation grid covers the opening from outside. Preferably the mill runs on when the flap is opened, but is switched off by a safety switch when the observation grid is removed and the flap opened. The flap is rotatable about a horizontal axis mounted on the hopper, and extends with its region of swing as far as the vicinity of the discharge end of the metering trough. This arrangement improves accessibility for removal of foreign objects and repair or maintenance.
