Abstract

A square section tube is fitted vertically to the spraying machine and carries a similar cross bar (64) fixed horizontally to it. On the horizontal tube, sliders (72, 74) are fitted to flate strips (24, 28, 29, 32) which form a series of linkages, pivoting at their centres (30) and ends to give a number of parallelograms. Other sliders on the vertical tube (62) are connected to the horizontal assembly and can pivot with them. Actuating cylinders on any pair of sliders opens and closes the linkage. Spray nozzles (80), fitted in flexible tubing (84, 86, 88, 89, 90) are secured to the horizontal linkage using connectors. Loops (91) at the changes of direction take up flexing.
