Abstract

Mounted on the front of the machine, the attachment comprises several rows of guides with lead-in points for the stalks. The outer guides are part of the outside frame. On this frame (5), each side, is a long support bush (6) and, passing through it, a round shaft (7) which is part of the lead-in point (8, 9). In the travelling position, the shaft with point, is slid inwards and secured by a spring pin (10) in a hole. For working, the pin is removed, the point pushed outwards and the pin inserted the other side. A chain holds the point at the correct working height. The arrangement reduces the harvester width, thus facilitating road travel.
