Abstract

The temperature sensor has a device which is fixed on the pipe (1) and which maintains a thermo-sensitive element (e.g. thermocouple) (33) in contact with it. An attachment device (4) maintains contact with the pipe (1) and, at the same time, provides a passage (11) to the pipe's outer wall. This device is fixed to the pipe by means of a clasp (2, 3) and screw (5) arrangement. A tube (13) is attached at one end to the device (4) and carries a head (15) at its other end which defines a cavity (18) whose interior is accessible and which communicates with the interior of the tube (13) and thus with the attachment device (4). The thermosensitive device (33) may be placed in contact with the pipe and withdrawn as required through the tube (13).
