Abstract

Sealing is achieved with pressure equalisation between the interior and exterior and without the sensitivity being affected by pressure variations. The transducer is built in a sealed box with an intermediate boundary (1) and with two openings. One opening, containing a thin waterproof membrane (11) in the form of a sack, has a cover (3) with a hole (10) which permits equalisation of the internal and external pressures. The other opening is covered by a loudspeaker comprising a cradle (5) pressed against the opening with the aid of a seal (6) by a perforated cover (4) to permit sound transmission from the electromagnetic system (9). A thin waterproof membrane (7) provides a seal between the cover and electromagnetic system.
