Abstract

A camera shutter release extension can be mounted on the arm of a pan and tilt head so that the release button is in a convenient position for operation by the thumb. The same hand also controls camera orientation in the usual way. Two similar pieces (A and A1) fixed together form the body which has two slots, one wide enough to take the thumb and the other (F) large enough to accept the range of shaft diameters normally used for clamp arms. A piece (B) slides between pieces (A and A1) and its inner end is formed to grip the shaft. All pieces are held firmly together by one screw (D). The shutter extension release collar is placed between pieces (A and A1) on assembly and is located by slots (C).
