Abstract

The strap has rigid branches pivoting on the watch housing, and the branches are hollow so as to accommodate the connector between their ends. At least one return spring is fitted between the end of a branch and one of the connector ends. The spring can act between the end wall of the branch and a shoulder on the connector, which can be flexible, constantly pulling the two branches towards each other. The design is simple and reliable, with virtually no working parts exposed to view. The branches may be rectangular in section and the springs formed by a synthetic material or metal cloth.
