Abstract

The box which is intended to house power wiring or telephone junction points etc. is moulded in six parts. The back, sides and top of the box slot together with a system of tongues and grooves. Certain edges are reinforced with metal "U" sections and these are completely covered by plastic material to avoid corrosion. The bottom has a cutout section to permit cable entry. The door has hinges formed by spring loaded spigots so that it may be attached to the box after assembly. The moulding of the box in sections gives greater manufacturing accuracy which will improve its aesthetic appearance and permit alignment of the boxes in a side by side arrangement.
