Abstract

Each face of a post carries parallel longitudinal ribs (24) separated by a slot (10). The ribs on adjacent faces are connected at the base of the post of a flange, forming in effect four feet which locate in recesses in the ribs at the top of the post beneath. These ends of the ribs are also extended laterally to form supports for the transverse beams (2). Each beam is an inverted U in section and has a locating tenon bolted in the slot (10), the lateral location being assisted by a recess in the base of the beam fitting over the pair of ribs on the post. The outwardly turned beam flanges (22) are used to support flooring slabs.
