Abstract

Cpds. of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts are new (where X and X1 are each H or halogen; A is methylene or methyl, the dotted line representing a second C-C bond when A is methylene; R1 is =4C alkyl; R2 is H or =4C alkyl). The cpds. (I) have antidepressive and neurosedative activity. The dosages are e.g. 25-250 mg/day (oral) for man.
