Abstract

The bridge elements (1) which ared used in place of the usual plastics bridge elements, are made from a supple natural material such as cork or leather, having a porous surface, so as to reduce skin irritation caused by the usual bridge elements. The bridge element (1) is attached to a metal support element (2) which has a fixing bracket (3) rivetted to it for attachment to the spectacles frame. The bridge element (1) may be directly adhered to the surface of an existing plastics bridge element, or the existing bridge element may be removed and replaced by the bridge element made from a natural material.
