Abstract
Liquefied cryogenic gas is added to a fuel gas stream to meet peak demand by passing a portion of the gas stream from the gas main through a branch circuit including a compressor and a heater which ensures vaporization and superheating of liquefied gas injected into the circuit rejoins the gas main. The heater is controlled in response to the temp. of the mixture of fuel gas and vaporized cryogenic gas in the branh circuit. The technique involves no consequent pressure drop in the gas main.
