Abstract

Respirator gas supply uses a control valve to which are connected an inlet/outlet duct. A gas-actuated logic element controls the valve and the gas from it is conducted at a pressure above atmospheric into the inlet duct. Preferably the appts. has an inlet duct connected by a valve to an outlet duct. The logic element has a high pressure gas feed duct to it and a collecting duct which feeds gas from it to the inlet duct. A further inlet duct and outlet duct are connected together by the valve which can be actuated so that either the inlet duct and the outlet duct can be interconnected, or the two further ducts. The gas flow in the inlet duct can be regulated by a metering unit.
