Abstract

The system for removing contents of collapsible tubes containing pastes, liquids and similar products can be used with tubes filled by automatic filling machines. The tube is held in the machine (b) and filled with the product (a). A thin, flexible, plastic disc (d) which is a close fit and may have perforations to remove trapped air, is placed on top. A quantity of a synthetic liquid (c), which eventually sets elastically and which is inert to the product, is introduced abov the disc. The end of the tube is then closed and flattened. A simple, close fitting plug is formed which expels all the contents of the tube, when squeezed.
