Abstract

The rotating turret base carries a lower plate and an upper plate clamped together by a central bolt and a threaded handwheel. A number of tools are secured in position by setscrews and project on either side of the plates. The assembly of the plates can be rotated with respect to the base by releasing the handwheel and is then located in the desired position by the ring of balls filling in the holes. The whole assembly can also rotate about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the figure so that any one of the several tools up to a total of twelve can be brought into operation.
