Abstract

The rigid head rest for automobile seats, comprises a frame (1) fitting on the rear face of a seat back and hooking onto the seat back top. A cushion (3) is located on an extension of the frame which projects upwards above the seat back. The frame extends downwards to the base of the seat back. Pref. the frame is fastened to the seat at its base and an alternative to an integral cushion and frame construction provides for the cushion (3) to be a separate unit adhering to a frame by a velcro (RTM) strips (5) affording simple interchangeability of various cushion designs.
