Abstract

An electricity counter is mounted by means of an isolating base plate such that tensions and contractions have no effect on the counter. A method eliminating spring fixings uses two support columns (5 & 6) on the base plate at or near the horizontal line of gravity (8). One column is used as a fixing point while the other is effective against blows and torsion effects. The counter (3) has two shaped supports (4) each having a hole through which a fixing screw (7) passes, one being elongated for adjustment. Shoulders and washers on the fixing screws enable one side to be fixed while the other is free.
