Abstract

Some of the shortcomings of prior designs are the relatively large sizes of the pressure chamber in order to obtain large control forces with low supply pressures resulting in slow reaction times and prolonged positioning times. High ambient temps. can further increase the extent of these shortcomings due to the reducing valves controlling the main control valve without an additional amplifier. By maintaining a constant flow through the control lines the effect of temp. on the reaction and positioning times is reduced. The arrangement features only three lines leading to the control post.
