Abstract

The electric heating element is formed by a silicone rubber block, which contains carbon particles, for making it conductive. The insulating layers containing the element are made from an insulating silicone rubber. The liquid to be heated passes through a duct incorporated in the heating element, or passing around its periphery. The appts. may be used for heating water, milk, coffee or tea, and the insulating exterior prevents any contact between the resistor and the fluid to be heated.
