Abstract

The commutation device for the spark-coil has its primary winding, regulated for a voltage lower than the theoretical source voltage, connected to the source by a resistance. During starting the coil primary is directly connected to the source by a logic circuit which, preferably, will include a diode, a capacitor and/or a variable resistance which is a function of the voltage. The main advantage is at the usually difficult operation of starting-up at low temperature, as the high-voltage current needed creates a voltage drop in the battery, therefore meaning that the residual voltage for the primary is too low.
