Abstract

The wiper blade lip is joined in the usual way by a narrow step to the backing strip which contains a spring leaf set in a longitudinal groove in such a manner that the blade can flex in respect to a curved screen. In order that the blade can be easily changed, the wiper arm bracket which is manufactured of flexible plastic, is provided with a claw grip at each end which is mainly open box shaped to pass around the backing strip. The claw grip on one end of the wiper arm bracket allows the backing strip to be passed through. The claw grip on the opposite end is provided with either harpoon like projections to arrest the blades movement or cam like projections and recesses to provide a firm grip.
