Abstract

Each section comprises two uprights and rungs. At upper and lower ends of each upright are lengthwise notches (9). Ferrule (11) made of metal or a hardwearing synthetic material is placed on upper and lower ends of uprights. If necessary, it can be wedged on with wooden bolts. Each section has at its upper end a rung (7) which is longer than the other rungs and protrudes through the uprights. When two ladder sections are placed together, the rung (7) slides into notches (9). The two sections fit tightly together, each sections is narrower at the top than at the bottom.
