Abstract

The spacer, for fixing reinforcing meshes in position between two form walls, used in reinforced-concrete walls or slabs, comprises a round bar, pref. of drawn steel, with holder units locking onto the meshes' wires. The V-shaped leaf-springs forming these holders have a hole in each arm, of slightly greater diameter than the bar, so that the edges of the holes can be tilted against the inserted bar under the spreading action of the springs. There may be a lug on one or both arms to lock onto a mesh wire. The bar may have plastic end stops or caps for the holders. The assembly is inexpensive to produce, and is adaptable.
