Abstract

The bottle is divided into two compartments (b, f) by a partition, with a free passage at one end. This allows liquid from the mouth to accumulate in the lower compartment, where it is retained, even when the bottle is tilted, without the liquid escaping through the mouth again. The partition can be of concave profile, to assist liquid flowing from the top to the bottom compartment. The bottle is emptied by inverting it so that liquid can flow from the lower compartment, which is now above the partition, into the upper compartment and out of the opening.
