Abstract

The connection contains one sleeve half receiving the tube end and a resilient hollow sealing ring retained between sleeve and tube. Radial ducts in this sleeve half connect the hollow ring space with the line fluid. The other sleeve half, which screws on to the first half, contains the tube retaining element, whose longitudinally extending slotted portion has an outer conical surface mating with an extending slotted portion has an outer conical surface mating with an inner cone in the sleeve half. After assembly, the line fluid pressure exerts a longitudinal force of the hollow ring, which acts on the retaining element, thus creating a seal on the outside of the tube.
