Abstract

A sliding joint for coaxial pipes, has a sleeve (2) of which one end (6) is shaped to receive a pipe and the other end has an enlargement (10) and a second sleeve (2) having a cylindrical end (15) which can slide in the first sleeve and with its other end (17) shaped to receive the end of a second pipe. There is also a sealing ring (4) of V section in the enlargement (10) with a hole slightly less than the end diameter (15) of the second sleeve (2). This ring is held by a ring (3) and has a taper to limit the internal diameter and an external skirt and throat.
