Abstract
The engine (10) receives fuel from a burner or atomiser (11) which is supplied by a pump (12) which draws the fuel through the filter (13) from a fuel tank (14). The pump (12) is driven by the variable speed motor (15) which is controlled by the electronic circuit (16). The electronic circuit (16) is fed with a signal depending on engine speed and then varies the pump motor speed to suit. Other engine parameters may be used to supply signals to the electronic circuit and so vary the fuel supply. A two-stage fuel pump may be used in which the second stage pressure is used to control the flow.
