Abstract

The unit is partic. for the heating of gas, fluid or synthetic yarn, and comprises a closed vessel partly filled with vaporising fluid. Heat for vaporising is applied to a surface in the lower part, and dissipated via the vessel wall at the top, causing condensation. One or more distributors members are mounted in the vessel to direct the condensate under gravity in the form of a thin film of liquid onto the heating surface. Each member can have heat-resistant cladding and perforations allowing capillary action.
