Abstract

An aquaplane used for pleasure and which can carry one person. It can be propelled by hand or fitted with an outboard motor. A flat top deck (A) is held above the water surface by three skis (C), on each side and one centrally at the front. Slots (2) in the sides (B) form guides for operating the oar in a to and fro motion using levers (6) at arm level. The oar is mounted amidships under the deck and pivots eccentrically to give a resistance free return stroke. Steering is provided by a foot bar (10). A motor can also be fitted at the rear (1).
