Abstract

A babie's feeding bottle has a tubular thermometer housed inside, parallel to, and alongside the wall of the bottle. The top of the thermometer fits inside an adapter sleeve which screws onto a threaded plug on the underside of the flange holding on the cap. Alternatively, the end of the thermometer is a push-fit-inside a socket on the underside of the flange or on an intermediate flange, or on the cap itself. In another design, the thermometer fits inside a pocket down the vertical face of the bottle, the mouth being shaped for insertion or vertical removal of the thermometer. In another design, the thermometer is housed in a pocket on the outside of the bottle, with a graduated scale alongside. In another design, the thermometer is a spiral spring housed in the bottom, with a pointer which travels over a horizontal scale.
