Abstract

Malfunction in pumps which produce doses of lubricant often require replacement of the complete pump. This cost is reduced by manufacturing a pump with easily replaceable parts. Such a pump comprises a body (1) with cylindrical bore (2) in which is mounted the dosing cylinder (3) such that a space exists between it and the cylindrical bore (2). The dosing cylinder is centralised by a screwed end piece (5) which contains the outlet (21) and which retains a pressure spring against the dosing piston (6). At the other end of the body a second screwed end piece (17) contains the inlet (20) and inlet valve chamber (15) with valve (18). This valve permits the flow of lubricant via axial passages, one of which connects to radial outlet passages, in a shaft on the lower end of the dosing cylinder.
