Abstract

The radio receiver including if required a transmitter is built into a semicircular visor shape clipping onto the helmet so that the telephone type earphones line up with holes in the helmet at the ear position. The receiver which is a transistorised printed circuit type is positioned either side of the battery which is buried in the centre of the visor. A connection point is also provided to allow an external battery source such as the motorcycle accumulator to be used. A microphone may be fitted on the inside of the helmet at about mouth level if the helmet is of the type having lower face protection.
