Abstract

Earthing or grounding of the contents of the tanks is achieved by bolting to the inside a grid or system of tubes arranged vertically. The tubes are made of some metal which can resist the chemical attack of the contents. If the tank is used to contain wire, stainless steel is used a hole is made in the tank wall through which the earthing bars are connected to a copper braid itself connected to an earth spike buried in the ground. Connection to the tank wall itself is made at the point where the earth conductor emerges from the interior of the tank.
