Abstract

Concrete pieces are moulded in a machine comprising a concrete supply appts., a mould formed at lower and upper halves, the lower half being part of the transporter belt while the upper part is removable, a vibrator disposed below the belt under the lower mould half and a furnace through which the belt passes. The furnace has a closure which punches the belt intermittently to prevent transmission of the vibrations to the ware inside the furnace. Machine is useful for the mfr. of reinforced or otherwise concrete tiles, esp. those tiles with longitudinal and transverse ridges of trapezoidal section, esp. gutter tiles; or armour. Machine permits immediate demoulding at the end of the tunnel kiln.
