Abstract
An alloy powder has constituent metals which fall into three groups (1), (2) and (3), with electropositivities: (1) >2; (2) 0.5 and (3) electropositivity between the least electropositive metal of group (1) and the most electropositive of group (2). A composite coating protecting-super alloy articles against corrosion, is made by forming a first alloy layer comprising beside the article alloy metals, at least one metal of the group of Y and the lanthanides, then a 2nd alloy layer comprising A 1 and advantageously Cr in proportions greater than that of the article alloy.
