Abstract

Each cabin or shelter has four sides, one of which has a part-glazed door in it. A box filled with sand or other material serves as a weighted base, and is formed of a first panel dovetailed horizontally into the sides and a second ovable panel placed on lengthwise protrusions over the first panel. The space inbetween is filled with stabilising material. The box may be replaced by four posts fixed into the ground at the corners, or the two methods may be used together. The sections are non-corrodible, water-tight and easily transportable. The cabin may be used as beach-hut, garden shelter etc.
