Abstract

A hollow headstone 3 and plinth 2 are made separately from a plastics material externally resembling stone and are erected by setting lower flanged ends of support rods 6, 7 in a concrete raft 4 in the ground 5, coating upper, projecting parts of the rods with resin and locating the plinth and then the headstone on the rods such that respective apertures and cavities 10, 11, 13 cooperate with the rods. The resin is allowed to harden to secure the plinth and headstone in position. The headstone may be filled with foamed plastics or cast in situ concrete. <IMAGE>
