Abstract

The process comprises (a) humidifying bark and wood waste from leaf bearing frees to water content of 60-70% (b) adding NH4 salts, pref. (NH4)2SO4, (NH4)2HPO4 and also K2SO4 and EDTA, to increase the N-content, (c) aerating weekly to oxidise Mn, (d) adding, before 3rd aeration, oligo-elements pref. Na molybdate, FeSO4 and CuSO4 and (e) grinding, sieving and adjusting the N content to 2.5% by addn. of mineral N. The composting takes 45 days.
